NARAL endorses Baron Hill!

I got this in my inbox from Indiana Right to Life:

Evansville, Indiana - November 1, 2006 A new television ad attacking pro-life Congressman Mike Sodrel and endorsing Baron Hill is creating a firestorm of controversy in the ninth district congressional race because it features abortion activist and former NARAL legal advisor Dawn Johnsen, widely considered by national observers as an eventual successor to the presidency of NARAL. A recent feature in Indianapolis Monthly stated Johnsen, a professor at the Indiana University School of Law, “is fast reemerging on the national stage as a prominent crusader to retain a woman’s right to abortion” and noted that “at NARAL, Johnsen was a star”.

NARAL is an aggressive supporter of abortion for the full nine months of pregnancy, including the gruesome partial-birth abortion procedure.

“The presence of such a high level NARAL figure in this ad is a slap in the face to pro-life voters in the ninth district and a clear signal that NARAL expects Baron Hill to do its bidding if elected,” states IRTL- PAC chairman Mike Fichter. “This latest ad rips the mask off of Baron Hill and shows him for what he really is – a candidate who has been trying to dupe voters into thinking that he is pro-life. His voting record in Congress was dismal on life issues. That’s why a NARAL activist is willing to support his candidacy now. ”

“For NARAL it’s a two for one deal if Baron Hill returns to Congress,” adds Fichter. “Hill will support NARAL’s agenda on the House floor and he’ll vote to put Nancy Pelosi in power. Both results would be disastrous for unborn children.”
